HOW CAN I HELP?
YOUTH: you can participate by soliciting donations and registering to walk on Nov. 21st with other youth from our church.
ADULTS: you can participate by contributing funds to an individual youth who is participating or just make a general donation. Adults are also welcome to register and participate in the walk.
WHAT DO I DO?
If you are a youth and want to participate, contact Danita L. Colbert, Director of Youth Ministry at 202-546-1884 ext 25 or
youthdirector@hcscchurch.org for a registration form.
If you want to donate monies, you can drop it off at the rectory office by Wed., Nov. 18 or look for youth at Mass who are participating.
Working together we can prevent and end homelessness!
Fannie Mae's Help the Homeless Program is a community-wide program to raise funds and awareness in support of Beneficiary organizations that work to prevent and end homelessness. This Program has grown into the nation's largest fundraising event benefitting the homeless. For more information, visit the website at www.helpthehomeless.org.
Do you have any gently worn shoes that
you can donate to the needy?
Consider donating to Soles4Souls which is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of shoe companies and from donations from people like you.The charity distributes shoes free of charge to people in need.Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 5.5. million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in need; the shoes have been distributed to people in over 125 countries.
Please bring your shoes to Mass on Sunday or the rectory office from now until Sunday, Nov. 25th. Deposit your shoes in the boxes located in the rear of the church. If you can’t donate shoes, we accept monetary donations to help defray the shipping cost to Nashville. If you have questions, call Kimberly Peaks at 202-546-1885.We need your help and anyone can participate!
